In the soap opera that’s the Favre saga; it seems the latest is that he won’t be with GB after all. Apparently both parties agreed that having a QB contest at training camp would be detrimental to the locker room (duh!). More and more likely that Favre would be traded to a division rival.

He's just gonna have a mediocre to crap season this year. I told you right at the end of last season when his retirement rumours were going round that he'd come back to shock the football world and just bore us all. Which at the moment he's doing with his current saga with Green Bay.

No one can tell how good/bad a season he's going to have. We all know he can still play at the top level, something which you don't expect from ageing veterans. Could very well have a crap season but Rodgers is at greater risk of having a crap season IMO.

Might as well break him into the starting QB position as early as possible.

The best player available should play or at least start end of. Where else would you see the better player let go/forced out cause they want to develop a new guy?
