**Official** New Zealand v Pakistan in UAE

Taylor will rake it in when his IPL contract expires.

Was far and away Bangalore's best batsman. 581 @ 38.73 SR 157.45 for them. Also has been pretty fantastic in the field, if Bangalore lose him they will sorely miss him.
They upgraded his contract this year.

It was funny seeing Ross Taylor questioned by the media as he climbed into his (I think its his) IPL funded Mercedes Benz
Shame he didn't actually say anything.
That makes me wonder if it is an actual player revolt. Ifi t was just one person someone would have defended him. Early days but if Chris Martin comes out and says he's awesome then..

Also Moles was ND coach right?

Vettori
Flynn
Southee
Boult

Vettori is the damn captain of NZ and ND, you'd think he'd get along with Moles. Flynn won't say a word against him because he has the likely chance of getting dropped for being poor and if he went back to ND where his ousted coach was things could get fun.

He's been selected in squads. Was a stretch but I was going through players that have been picked from ND that wouldn't want to rebel for obvious reasons.

Watlings going to have a fun trip to the UAE.
Moles wouldn't go back to ND.

The news was speculating that Moles may not go to the UAE and Moles might get the chop immediately.
NZC also raked in a 6-7 million dollar profit which was nice to hear. The Aussie and Pakistan series should also mean that Test attendance should stay good.

The awards ceremony tonight will be interesting, see who is the most uncomfortable to work out who the 'senior players' are

How much can we blame the coach though? Guptill has always had that short ball problem: remember O'Brien sayign the word was in domestic cricket to bowl short at him. Flynn was a one season wonder who before that got starts and threw them away, just like he does in tests. McCullum has always been McCullum, though granted he does it at a slower pace now.

Don't even get me started on McIntosh. Don't blame Moles for that one.
Martin Crowe said in his book that he practised against bouncers before facing the west indies and he said it really helped him.
If Guptil has a problem against short balls I don't understand why it can't be rectified by practice. Some things like temperament can't be fixed by practice. But a bad back foot defence can be worked on. Mcglashan in his blog on this site said that Guptil was yet to find his feet in his FC cricket properly let alone in international cricket and that we would have to grow him as a player. It is Moles job to get a specialist batting coach in to work with Guptil.

And someone else pointed out on this forum that Flynn is always out caught behind. I am not sure if that can be rectified with coaching. But he does seem to go at the ball with hard hands in his defensive shot. I think it would be worth while working on his technique outside the off stump.

Our only hope for mediocrity is to work with our young players and mold them in to mediocre performers. Instead of fundamentally flawed players with weaknesses that are so widely known they are discussed by fans on cricket web.
Real cricket Analysts must have a field day in analysing our young players. The only person who doesn't seem to be analysing them is Moles. If he was he would be doing something about it.

Moles was kicked out of coaching the scottish cricket team due to player dissent. If I told a new employer that I left my last place of employment due to people issues I wouldn't get hired. This should have been a red flag.

The Dominion post said that we might get John Wright in as a caretaker coach. This sounds fine to me.

From what I've read and heard the Scottish team didn't like what Moles had in plan for them after winning the ICC trophy, hard work. Apparently he told them that the level that they're playing at and their fitness was nowhere near good enough and some of the players didn't like that.
