He's bowled tripe today by the sounds of it. Won't defend him for it.

Mk II Butler is a million time better than the old model. Howsie whining about pace is nothing new, though Butler has been gradually slowing down since his comeback so whilst I haven't seen any balls today it wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't that quick.

When he returned to the team he was reasonably accurate, got movement off the deck and could bowl reasonably quick.

Pity he can't do it often, sounds a bit like Mark Gillespie actualy when you list it out.

Looks like Butler will bowl over 49. I'm afraid those 6 balls will cost NZ this match. I guess Vettori did a smart thing to not use Butler's last over during power play.
