And in other news Bond got 100 for Canterbury. Watch out McMillan Bond's after your spot for next test!

Hopefully our batsmen gan show a bit of guts and not get themselves out

Fleming should stop thinking about the game so much...apparently, he received a total of 1200 (roughly) throw-downs over the last 3 days.

I think he just needs to spend 30 minutes in the nets & then forget about all the technical issues.

Disappointing that Marshall went out..big chance for Vincent to score some runs.

1200 throw-downs before he leaves one first up and is straight back in the pavillion...really made a difference, didn't it?

78/3..Cumming unfortunately played on.

Cumming looks worthy of keeping as a test opener IMO. He should definately stay there for the Sri Lankan series.

The NZ team is becoming too obsessed with having to examine every little technical issue. Fleming knows he can score big hundreds but he's so worried about his form that he's now changing certain aspects of his batting when I think he just needs to chill out for awhile.

Lovely start from Warne. He really hit his straps in the second innings in the first test, he's bowling as well as he has since the Sri Lankan tour now.

New Zealand have a lot of work ahead of them to survive for two more days. I think they might need a bit of rain.

I don't think they'll last 2 days...which on a flat pitch is extremely embarassing. But thats just the gulf between NZ & Australia at the moment.

Vincent is batting for his short-term test future tommorow I think..if he can get close to 100, he'll definately secure a spot against Sri Lanka.

One would think that McMillan is in a similar position.

Astle gone.

NZ in trouble here.
Michael Clarke taking another important wicket, he's proving to be a very successful partnership breaker for Australia unfortunately.

He's almost in the side as a bowler now with the amount of runs he's making. (or is that an insult to McGrath? :p )

McMillan can bugger off. I really hope he fails miserably. He keeps making the team for no apparent reason, and on top of that he makes comments like the ones he did.... he needs to be humiliated, quite frankly. Get the arrogance knocked out of him.
