I've always thought De Villiers has a clanger in him keeping to the red ball. It is an option though, would be cool to see a team try something new.
Sri Lanka essentially did it against Australia, splitting the duties between Chandimal and Perera based on fatigue.

He was moaning quite a lot about his workload a few months ago, giving him the gloves even briefly in test cricket, I fear would speed his decision up to jack in that format and go play in the t20 leagues around the world where he would make absolute fortunes.

Van Zyl is just pants. Making the keeper open in order to protect him as much as possible and still can't look like a batsman.

van Zyl really needs some time back in FC cricket. If we bring an extra batsmen to Aus then it must be de Bruyn at this stage.

Elgar not come back and shift De Kock down the order again?
Yes probably... but with Faf and Duminy scoring runs first innings things may get switched up, particularly with QDK doing well as opener. Also it might be a good idea to have the allrounder (Parnell/Morris) rather than extra batsmen on the flat Aus wickets...

Disappointed in the way we have batted in this 2nd innings. I`m impressed by Bavuma again, I really like his temperament more than anything else. ... But great day of cricket for SA overall. Hopefully some quick runs tomorrow morning...... and then see if NZ can face some "Protea Fire" (I`m sorry, I could not resist!)

Bloke has never played franchise cricket. Bit of a leap.
QDK and Rabada had barely seen any FC before being included in national setup... I think he is as good. I stake that he will be (along with QDK) part of the next SA generation of great batsmen.. (lots of pressure on him).

SA already have enough runs, but they may as well run out the innings and add a few more. There's plenty of time left.

It would be nice if one of our openers could make a contribution. Just for a laugh.

Now he goes again, with the involuntary Meriliier scoop!

This bloke is NZ's Merv Hughes. Genuine cult hero status.
Wags isn't disgusting enough to be a new Merv. Unlike big Merv, I've never seen Wagner lick his own ball after everyone else in the team has spat on it.

What he does in his private time is a matter for him, but you'd take 200 plus test wickets from him and leading the attack to a series win in England, I gather?
