Looking a bit grim for NZ ahead of the world cup with these scratchy performances + sudden injury worries.

Kane on track but likely won't feature in first few WC games?
Southee basically out.
Santner another one, but scans revealed it ain't bad, he's gtg for WC.
Mitchell with a dislocated finger. Was able to get through everything today though.
Doull saying lockie had tightness in his hammie/slight injury concern in the last game.

Milne, lister (not sure what), Allen (lacerated finger) as well outside the squad.

Young's: 29, 33, 12, 24. What we've come to expect and be frustrated about with Young - starts where he looks every inch at home, then gets out.

Conway will be fine. He desperately needs a break. He’s been playing non-stop cricket for months: IPL, Major League Cricket, The Hundred, then both phases of this tour. Mentally that would take a toll.

Because they foolishly try to shoehorn players into positions to match a template rather than modifying the template to get the best out of the players in their best positions/roles.

This was a pretty dreadful series - some great individual performances, but not really a close game of cricket among them.

I feel like players that didn't play (Chapman, Sodhi, Milne, Shipley) probably gained more than those that did.

Rachin's played himself into a WC spot, hasn't he? Hard to ignore him after sporadic runs/wickets throughout the series, and the all-round effect in the last game.
