Rachin playing without an injury forcing it would be so ugh.I reckon Ferguson may be left out unless they think the pitch has bounce in it. I wouldn’t be all that surprised if they look to bowl 30 overs of spin in almost every game with Rachin/Phillips making up 10
Yeah the Macewell loss hurts us so bad. We went from having one of the best bowling lineups for the conditions and 30 reliable, difficult overs. To a much weaker and more exploitable attackRachin playing without an injury forcing it would be so ugh.
Decent film but not really that funny imhoAlien lmao.
That is all.
Not sure of current status but by default adam sears ben milne is usually marked as unavailable due to injury. But we did have some prime opportunities to play him vs ireland, windies and aussie in cairns last winter. Would have been ideal to let him run wild then and we'd all be better off for it.Haha, I don't know why anyone would think otherwise. For all we can fault him, his ability to stay on the park and stay injury free has probably helped him loads (plus he has actually managed to average under 30 the last 2 years).
Also correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Sears injured? @thundaboult
Imagine not picking Latham for a odi world cup in India.Southee wasn’t good enough to make the starting 11 at the WC four years ago….yet he’s still perpetually in the mix. An absolute cart horse in white ball cricket, just donkey drop cannon fodder. I’m also not sold on Latham - you’ve got two starters that can take the gloves, he’s a good red ball cricketer but he’s mostly not much chop in white ball cricket; a typical nothing score from him today. He’s needed for his ‘leadership’ apparently. If a couple of the guys who really stood up in 2019 don’t make the cut because they are taking Southee and Latham then it’s a pretty poor show.
I'm sure he's really looking forward to his trip to Bangladesh in his diary.Oh wait I forgot he's going to Bangladesh great work nzc lmao

Roger that, and unlike T20s where you can get away with Santner batting as high as 7, I really prefer him at 8 in the ODI set-up which emphasises the hole Macewell's injury leaves for our balance.Lower order collapses, I meant
Alot of teams have that allrounder issue, tbf. England are either gonna use moeen and livingstone to cover one spot or play a bunch of bowling allrounders from 7-9 to cover it, AUS are playing a weaker bowling lineup with maxwell at 7 and may even have to put agar/stoinis there if maxwell isn't fit, SL have specialist captain shanaka there, Pak have a gaping whole in their lower/middle order in general. IMO, aside from home conditions, india's balance in that spot is what makes them favourites for me. Jadeja and hardik at 6 and 7 is a much better solution that what other sides have.Roger that, and unlike T20s where you can getting away with Santner batting as high as 7, I really prefer him at 8 in the ODI set-up which emphasises the hole Macewell's injury leaves for our balance.
So with Macewell out I guess it's either Neesham at 7 (but risking a weak 5th bowling option shared with Phillips, Mitchell & Chapman), or Foxcroft or Ravindra at 7. Then depending on the type of wicket the 9,10 & 11 is either Sodhi, Henry or Boult, or if it's more seamer friendly Henry, Ferguson/Milne & Boult.
Only if they had rocks in their heads, that'd be absurd.Henry is still a pretty unknown quantity in Asian conditions while Southee has typically been one of our most trusted. I wouldn’t be all that surprised to see the selectors valuing Southee more than Boult in this World Cup.
Sorry but in what universe is Southee a better ODI bowling option than Henry? And you can't say in Asian after Henry was about our best pace bowler in both white ball formats in Pakistan and has been superb in all forms in the last 18 months or so.Conway

Idk, looks ok. The balance isn't ideal I guess with satner as high as 7. He's capable but going into a world cup a "batting" all-rounder would of been better. The issue is the need for the two spinners. If the WC was anywhere else you just bring Nesaham in and drop a spinner. Pressure on the top order, luckily they are quality.
