Lol at that graphic saying SL beat England at Leeds in 2016

If Lakmal batted with a brain more often he'd be a very handy tail-ender, he's got a bad habit of shortening his own odds just because he feels like targeting a certain area, he has a decent eye

No Russel Arnold, noone believes that was an intentional french cut
THAT WAS WELL PLAYED

jesus...

Turning down singles is a fair shout at the moment just with the brand new ball, once Southee and Boult stop hooping it can go back to rotating the strike

Haha, it's definitely a game Arnold enjoys playing.

Southee is getting good swing but seems to have no plan other than bowl 1-2 foot outside off with outswing and hope the batsman edges the cover drive.

this is the best i've seen dds play.
Not quite as good as a his work against Aus back in 2016 but yeah really showing his talent, very good square of the wicket off the back foot, great on the drive between mid-on and point too

Ok so that's how you get Lakmal out everybody

Did he duck once in that innings? Compare how he played the short ball to how Dilruwan did...

Made a match saving ton in India in 2017.

Unfortunately that lolworthy drop from Boult is looking like the defining moment of this match, seeing as De Silva's scored 75 more runs since that happened.

Our batsmen will have a tricky balance second innings - need to be positive to try earn a lead and give a chance for the win, with rain around affecting that calculation, but also that SL's score isn't so bad in the end, there's turn in the wicket and there's a risk of being bowled out cheaply and making an SL win likely.

Well played DdS, making a significant dent in NZ's chances. Really made Boult pay for that drop (what a difference that could have made). SL's lower order have been pretty resilient this series.

well done Dhananjaya - had a bit of luck but you still have to score the runs, and has put SL in a good position

Really needed this, from a team POV and for DdS personally, has only been hanging onto his spot through his golden arm lately, with Chandimal still on the sidelines he needed runs

Awesome job DDS. Can tell he's well liked amongst the team.

Also he's got a pretty excellent conversion rate
