*Official* New Zealand in West Indies, AUG 10 to 21, 2022

International Debutant
credit to southee, filling in admirably for henry in these 2 games and that 1 game against ind in 2020 when he bowled 10 on the trot through a flu (jamieson debut) .... still think henry is the incumbent in ODI's ...would still like to see sears even at southee's expense but I personally want him in the test setup and inject it with some pace finally

aaaand on the other end its trent boult being trent boult, he's just class

with his semi-retirement from tours and stuff, it's pretty incredible Trent Boult might only just dribble over the line for 200 ODI wickets despite playing since 2011 or so.

ODIs are a different landscape these days.

He wasn’t an ODI regular till the 2015 WC, plus over the last 3 years there’s barely been any ODI cricket, so really only a 4-5 year period of regular ODIs, quite amazingly.

Equally interesting (if not surprising because he’s been mediocre in ODIs for a long time) is that Southee is only just closing in on 200 wickets after debuting in 2008.

So if Kane is okay for game 3, who misses out? Can't drop Allen after winning us this match, so is it Guppy, Conway, Latham (Conway to keep), or Mitchell (averaging 123 in ODIs)?

lmao at this partnership

Cariah probably deserves a chance batting higher up after this - he bats 4 or 5 in FC cricket and this has been a proper knock. No real List A pedigree but neither do most of the batsmen they select.
