I'm sorry, but I really struggle to believe this. Maybe Reece Young feels that way, but I can't believe that John Wright let something so superficial influence his decision making.

That's plumb.
This is the guy that believed Tom Latham was better equipped for international cricket based on the fact he was the son of a former player, who really wasn't that flash himself. Wright preferred the 'gutsy' (don't get me started) keeper over the flashier one in his eyes. But hey you don't have to believe the conversations I hear.

Cane, I dunno if you bowl anywhere in particularly different - just keep making him play and it'll keep niggling. To a one-handed Gav Larsen in a Shell Cup final it was all about bowling straight past his left-handed defence.

Really? I thought it would've been on the basis of Latham averaging 45 in list A cricket? Not that I agree with the selection in the first place mind.

Patel - got robbed on at least one lbw. Finally gets a wicket.

Really that is poor from the batsman that's how he got out in the last game.

Just need Sammers out now. Still that is an end open now.

Taylor aside, the fielding has been superb. Good to see the improvement after the shambles in the first test in India.

Astle is just too slow. Batsmen have plenty of time to adjust to the spin, even on the rare occasions when he gets it in the right areas. He needs to be 5-10 k's quicker.
