Current partnership: 106 runs, 30.4 overs, rr: 3.45 (Fleming 60, Franklin 35) :)

EDIT: I'm getting nervous on Fleming's behalf, now...

200 for Fleming, well played. According to Cricinfo, he has an average now of 40.00 (providing he doesn't get out)

Relief. :D And yeah, his 200th run coincidentially was his 6400th run, which gave him the average of 40. Now he just needs to make 240 to keep it regardless of if he gets out or not. :)

Now for Franklin to get his 50, and then after that, for him to pass his high score of 55. :)

But don't forget that we've been assured that SA are infintiely better than NZ, so even if NZ make 450, SA will make 800!
In which case, let me be the first to congratulate South Africa on scoring their highest-ever total, and to applaud Graeme Smith on an exceedingly astute decision to follow Ricky Ponting in 'having a bowl, mate' and Rahul McDravid in 'oh yes we are to be going to be having a bowl hoots mon, isn't it?'.

Top captaincy - even a dunce of the highest order can see that.

Fleming is good at going on to get big centuries, this is his 3rd double and he's got a 192 too.

That means he converts one third of his centuries into doubles. That's crazy.

Did saffies drop any catches or is fleming really batting well
and how has the umpiring decisions been...
He's had a couple of chances, or though who doesn't when they score a double hundred. Overall, he's played a Classy controlled innings.

This must be one of Fleming best innings, would you Kiwis rate it higher than his so called `Blue-print to playing spin in the sub-continent innings of 274` vs SRI in 2003?

Franklin's going to have to open the bowling after this!

Hopefully not today of course.

Might they not give it to someone like Oram? A bit of extra bounce coupled with someone swinging it into Bradman?
