Both Vaughan and Pietersen generally need some time to bed-in, mind. But yeah, I'd reckon that'd be the course of action.

I'd think all the batsmen in the side have a decent chance against said rate in a First-Class, rather than one-day, match though.

****. Just what we need, one of the key players getting an interesting and new form of injury. How serious is it looking guys?

If he a) can't bat or b) tries to and gets out almost immediately, the bloody fool could easily have hurt his team's chances just by not putting a simple armguard on.

Yep, off he goes.

Hopefully there's no break there. Would be really annoyed if he missed the rest of the series due to the simple failure to put an armguard on.

Well, if anything comes of this he'll hopefully wear an armguard the rest of his career.

Enter Oram.

Reckon Redmond still deserves a couple more games, scored a good score against a decent English Lions attack recently.
So do I - as I say, I'll be disgusted if he doesn't get the series as of this moment, as his form on this tour has earned it.

But in March, I honestly think if I was going to drop Bell I'd have picked Papps.

Hay was also an option, McCullum was a possibility too.

I thought Hay was a middle-order player.

And I'm far from happy with McCullum at five, never mind one\two. The only good thing that can come of him at five is hopefully his responsibility will be emphasised.

BTW, McCullum - not surprisingly - is off for an X-ray.

Sidebottom on - good.
