They were 150-4 and we are 150-4 sounds even stevens.
That's such a bizarre way of looking at things. If England were at one stage 200/1 and then collapsed to 250 all out, it wouldn't be even stevens if New Zealand moved onto 200/1. They'd be on top.

Extreme example I know, but the point still applies.

Broad is such a frustrating player, he can bowl dross like yesterday then turn it on but is just as likely to revert to dross again in his next spell.

You look at the pitch map and think that those are leaveable, but there's always the threat of one nipping down the slope so it's not that simple. Gives Broad a fifth stump to work with, great areas.
