*Official* New Zealand in England 2015

Scores level feels about right for match in which neither side has been ruthless enough to press home an advantage. Agree with the comments on Henry but applies equally to the NZ brains trust - why why why persist withe short ball tactic when it has not worked all series long?

NZ should believe they're in with a good chance though, they've been in similar situations before and won (Hobart, Bridgetown). But they'll really have to click as a unit either with bat or ball.

Not sure how the weather forecast is, but we should be looking at minimum 300. Still backing Craig to do the job in the 2nd innings if we give him enough runs to play with.

Lovely documentary and discussion on Sir Richard there on Sky Sport. Loved Ian Smith's story about how first he and then Jeremy Coney dropped chances off Malcolm Marshall from successive balls, before Hadlee knocked his middle stump out and then proceeded to just glower at the two of them.

This is set up to make those of us who worry deeply about England's bowling very nervous. England still do not have a nailed on 3rd seamer - (Woakes, Stokes, Wood, Plunkett, Jordan have just 2 5wi in 36 combined Tests.) Once the openers are taken off (and they have their own concerns) it gets a bit unproven.

Saying that, I am sure NZ supporters are nervous about their batting so the game may be nicely balanced.

England think they've spotted something with Latham's technique - Broad straight away around the wicket and wide of the crease.

Showed the schedule for today, 9pm Jimmy on with Bob Willis and someone else to talk about the day.
Ah, the Sky Sports UK broadcast.

Was that a documentary about Hadlee or just the commentators yarning over lunch?
