*Official* New Zealand in England 2015

Not Terrible
jesus christ just seen southee's bowling average.

that ballooned fast.
Don't think you can really hold the UAE tour against him which did some real damage to the average. This is probably his first series since his recall that he has been genuinely quite poor.

Doesn't look Test match fit and seems to be struggling to find any real rhythm. Over the last few years he had been gaining a fantastic ability to chip away at a nagging line and length when the ball stopped swinging, and every now and then having a bouncer banged around the batsman's neck. In this tour he has been pretty loose with the older ball and in this match he wasn't even particularly threatening with the new ball*

*didn't see him with the 2nd new ball

It's pretty harsh to damn a bowler based on such a small sample size but I think Southee is looking very undercooked.

Last year, both Lythe and Hales had very good FC seasons. I think you're both wrong :D :
-Lythe is more than you think he is
-There is an alternative.
No-one puts it more politely that you do

And yes, if Lythe does get injured, I'd rather see Hales than Lees at this stage of their careers.

Maybe I'm just overexcited, but aren't we probably going to see the best session in the series? The ball still new, the air filled with clouds. NZ have a great opportunity to bowl themselves to a handy lead, just so they can bat in fair weather. But if England manage to survive for an hour, they might run away.

Really looking forward to the next hour!

There's been various 'key moments' going into a new session or day, but the prospect of this one is right up there. Excited here as well.

Hoping we get the better of the conditions this time around and roll the last 5 wickets just before the clouds lifts into a beautiful sunny day
