You're a god damn joke. You and all the other Kiwi fans who give up when we perform poorly. I know this is ridiculous but come on. Voltman's rant was one of the worst as well.

When did I say I was giving up on the team? Or was going to stop supporting the team?

I think I had every right to be pissed off and have a rant.

Actually, would like to detract this somewhat specific statement. Meant the Kiwi fans in general overreacting after this performance. You have some spot on assessments there re: umpiring but How & Oram aren't rubbish while Redmond is looking like rubbish but I hope he improves. Thought you labeled Ryder as rubbish as well, but I need to learn to read posts more closely   , as he is indeed a dumb fat prick.

Yeah, nah fair call. Meant more Voltman re: giving up. He's said it quite a few times before, and have heard similar from others in the past. It gets more frustrating than our batting efforts.

We have a right to be pissed off, but we should still support them and try and ave some faith in them rescuing this match.

Yeah agree with whatr Tailender said about that rubbish nego post earlier.

Also agree Fulton needs to be at three for the Australian tour.

Fulton
Taylor
Ryder
McCullum
Oram

Needs to be the middle order IMO. I have said it before, I'd give Styris a go at opening as well, but I've been shot down every time.

It's weird because I always have faith in the Black Caps even when it's clear they are going to lose lol.

I said in the ODI's that Dan Vettori would get a 5 wicket bag, just hoping he would, he didn't buttttt he did in the test so that's gotta be something right? :P

Hopefully we can get a few more runs today and when the Banga's are in, bowl them out quick smart!

Seems Vettori was the only person taking notice when he said before the series that this would be a challenge and not to expect a walk over. He seems to have applied himself as best as possible in this test, while the rest of the batsmen seem to have been content and treated the Deshi bowlers with contempt, and have been shown up big time.

Our obvious lack of a batsman who can play spin is a worry also.

Taylor is probably our best player of spin, and for him to get sawn off by the ump didnt help.

Yeah, and we used to have such superb players of spin as well, Fleming the obvious one, Vincent too.

You can add Styris and Richardson to that list also.

Our batsman seem completely against using their feet to the spinners, which I think is a mistake. They seem to just want to let spinners settle in to a perfect line and length and never attempt to hit them off it. All of the great players of spin use their feet, and go after spinners. I'm not saying we should just blindly slog, but when the ball is tossed up there is nothing wrong with using your feet and hitting down the ground. We were far far too negative yesterday, I hope that changes in the next innings. I hope the batsmen have learnt something!

Yeah agreed. It falls into the area of technique where we desperately need to improve.
Our long tail is one of the few things we can boast about in cricket, but we should be ashamed when we have to rely on a number 8 to dig us out of a hole created by the proceeding 7 batsmen.

If we're going to win we have to get them out for not much more than 150 IMO.

Shakib with amazing figures - 25.5-6-36-7.

Have a feeling this test will go much the same of the Bangla-Aus game a few years back when the Deshis had them on the ropes for the first part of the match.
