How does one pronounce it, anyway?
Dev - sitch.

It does look a mouthful with some unusual combinations but it really is exactly how it's spelt. I think the rugby league referee with the same name goes with "Dev-chich" as a pronunciation instead but Anton is perhaps a simpler man.

Ah ok, that makes sense. I was half-thinking it might have been Dev-chich, but wouldn't have been surprised if people just cbf and went Dev-itch instead. Probably could have learned by listening to Danny Morrison get it wrong, but I didn't feel like putting myself through that torture.

Deserved wicket for Devcich, some tidy bowling and good changes of pace.

Of course we haven't seen Herath yet, suspect he'll give a lesson in slow left arm.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssss, that's right, Kiwi fans, not only do you have to watch a second-rate outfit get whitewashed, but you're gonna have to listen to me while you watch the abomination!!!! Two for the price of one. All part of NZ cricket's package to get as many people as possible to turn their backs on the game. Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuppppppppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Sunday here in Lanka!!!!

absolutely flabbergasted that Mahela has been sent in, why ****ing bother picking 2 young batsmen in this team if they're just gonna come out in the last 10 overs slogging anyway? Give them some responsibility and send them in ffs

Black Caps must be a bit tired from all their travel, a few weak double bouncing throws coming in ...

... wonder if Milne will get any reverse?

And now Matthews, christ, is Kulasekara the notorious nightwatchman next?

Why have they dropped Thisara? Such a useful ODI bowler.
They're quitting while they're ahead with his ridiculous lucky h4x, obviously. :p

They obviously felt they only needed two specialist seamers on this deck and I'd agree that they two they selected are better than him.

Screw logic, I just love it when sides send him slightly higher up and he plays a ridiculous cameo at a strike rate of 160 or something :p

The presence of Matthews as a seam bowler and the need for SL to get games into Thirri and Chandimal makes it difficult for Thisara to get a game, the fact that Kulasekara can provide late order hitting also hurts his claim to selection, but I agree he is great to watch

Given that he's been routinely outbowled by the part-timers on this tour, isn't it about time that NcCullum got consigned to the scrapheap? Seriously, if he stays in the team for much longer it's hard to see it as anything other than nepotism. He's the side's specialist spinner on a tour of the sub-continent, and yet hasn't been asked to bowl through his full 10 once so far ffs. People say that we have no one better, but even Jeets averages 10 runs less per wicket than him in ODI's (note: I'm saying this to put NcCullum's performances into context, not to suggest that Jeets be recalled)
