Pretty big swing from Southee first up. Hayden either lucky or an excellent judge. Suppose I'll give him the benefit of the doubt given he's played here once or twice before.

Fair enough. Just see most captains cop most of the stick for a poor selection, yet more often than not see NZ fans hook into Bracewell before the captain.

Not criticising btw, as I know very little about NZ cricket so I'm guessing you're more than likely right.

Until Bracewell came in, afaik Fleming had a bigger say in selections, under the likes of Rixon, than he did under Bracewell. Things like asking Marshall and Fulton to open, the continual shuffling of Vincent and Sinclair and other dire selections were mainly because of Bracewell.

been reading the forum pretty religiously for a few years now but seeing as i'm doing it at work doesn't give me much of a chance to post...

Decided to take a sicky to study and was pleasantly surprised to see it coincide with the first day of the aussie summer...
