Ponting is God. Quite simply a legendary batsman.

Australia too good. That's all it comes down to.

I'm predicting Bangladesh to beat NZ in at least one match. ODI or Test...Just a feeling I have.

Ha, we didn't do the Indians any favours. Ponting always seems to cut his teeth on New Zealand when he hasn't scored a century for a while.

Anyway, no doom and gloom about New Zealand. We've lost to South Africa and Australia countless times before.

then Aussies away.. (#1)

Right, and have we forgotten that New Zealand lost 4-0 in South Africa and 2-1 in the Chappell-Hadlee series in the 2005/6 season? We managed to do OK after that in the Champions Trophy and the World Cup, not to mention winning the Chappell-Hadlee trophy last year.

New Zealand are not a cricket side that's gonna win series after series, but these results don't mean we won't be competitive in the future. It's amazing we win anything with our domestic structure and the number of cricket players we have. If the cricketers we do have didn't love the game, we'd be screwed.

Seems to be an eerie silence from Australian posters about the Clarke catch
Hopkins should have stood his ground if he felt that wasn't a clean catch but he was obviously in hurry to catch his plane to New Zealand but frankly speaking after seeing so many replays of that catch one can say that it wasn't conclusive.
But the fact of the matter remains the same that if Hopkins would have stood his ground "firmly" then the 3rd umpire in all probability might given him not out because the replays were a bit too inconclusive.

I'll let you hammer on about Fiery. Its always good to know you Kiwi's always can always find something about a trans tasman match to hang on to regardless of the result.

Catch or no catch it was disappointing day though. The desire to fight is lacking from some of these boys, and that’s what makes New Zealand teams, there ability to use every bit of their ability to match the opposition.
