Have to say this has been our lowest point as a test team since South Africa in 2013. South Africa 2016 wasn't great, but was just one test with the first one rained out, and India 2016 we were much more competitive than this.

Sad to see us so totally outgunned bar one or two players, and they're very concerning signs I think. The group doesn't seem happy and there's a lot of questions around the team management. Players (batsmen in particular) performing so far below their best that it really does raise big questions.

Never would have thought I'd be nostalgically thinking back to the 2015 tour during this series. Terrible way to end the decade and we fully deserve to drop down to 5 or 6 in the ratings after this.

How bad is our fielding atm? Not just the dropped catch there - a couple of really basic misfields in the next over, to go with a lot of similar mistakes in the other tests, plus several missed run outs and our slip fielders being suspect. Has really dropped away in the last year or so.
