Yeah, the umpire's call rule is ridiculously conservative, and only serves to encourage decision making that favours the batsman.

Guptil to get out soon as well since he has decided to play some shots. For most players in this circumstance you should play some shots, he doesn't really have a 2nd gear he can operate in safely so needs to just do a tmac or alternatively get really positive.

The thing that annoys be about the LBW thing is originally it wasn't as conservative. They changed it in late 2012.

Think there's some problems with the tracking when the distance between it pitching and hitting is very small.

This one looked weird. Not quite as weird as Shan Masood's LBW off Boult in the UAE, but still a little weird.
