Supposedly a better keeper. What exactly does Young bring to the table that de Boorder/van Wyk don't? Was there some reason he was picked ahead of them in the first place?

Probably not, but we're not talking about smashing a quickfire 50 in the last session of day 5 with any result but a draw near impossible. It won't happen though. Bloody Clarke is in next.
Apparently the best keeper, and has had success batting at number three for Auckland when Hopkins took the gloves. What exactly does Young bring to the table that de Boorder/van Wyk don't? Was there some reason he was picked ahead of them in the first place?
Good call, really flown under the radar Huss.Hussey needs runs as much as Ponting IMO. Hasn't looked likely at all since SL.

Looks pretty good tbh.
"mental toughness mate"Hughes working with Justin Langer is probably doing Hughes more harm than good
Really? Really?Supposedly a better keeper.
He definitely deserved it when picked. Had a very strong weight of runs and was/is the best gloveman in the country. Got to think it's nerves and not feeling at home at Test level that has led to his scratchy glove work. If he got runs, I think that'd translate. What exactly does Young bring to the table that de Boorder/van Wyk don't? Was there some reason he was picked ahead of them in the first place?
Tom C00perIf we take out the veterans in Ponting and Hussey (maybe Haddin too), what's the long term batting line up?
