Boult has really impressed today. Obviously they are conditions that suit his type of bowling but he's done well with them. Though Bracewell was moderately impressive in Brisbane and has been decent here, Boult looks a better bowler right now.

Agree, there's a lot to like about Boult even putting aside these bowling conditions.

We need to be more patient with these last 3 wickets, Bracewell giving Siddle easy runs

The biggest issue here for both sides are the openers. On a pitch like this going some way to seeing off the new ball and stopping the middle order from being exposed to it is imperative

Both sides have failed miserably in this respect, and I think its largely because that concept of opening the batting has been lost in the modern game
