AWTA. They really should play all their black caps that they have available. They are good enough to adapt to the conditions and especially when you are coming up against some good domestic bowlers like Mason and co.I can't quite understand the make up of yesterday's team tbh, playing four quicks whilst also having Styris and Devcich in the XI - and even Flynn I suppose really does leave us light on batting with none of the quick bowlers being genuine all rounders. Both Watling and Williamson should have played too, Pukekura Park and it's 45 metre boundaries are probably not going to trouble international batsmen one would think.
He's been dealing with Osteitis pubis over the last year or so, his groin flared up so they decided to rest him. It was probably the right call too, from the little I know about OP it's an absolute ****ter of a thing to go through. A career ending condition in some cases if I'm not mistaken.Corey Anderson not playing for Canterbury today? He hasn't been bowling so surely hasn't injured himself.......... again.

Arnel should be in that top bracket IMHO. I still reckon Mills will come back to his best. Some time ago we rated our top seamers in NZ cricket. I can't see Tuffey ever playing test cricket again.
4 of them are young guns in his line up if you count Southee. I think he took youth and potential into account.Thats a pretty sad looking line up tbh. Hopefully some young guns come through in the next couple of years

Also on Southee...he bowled a great off cutter the other day in the HRV cup. Caught my eye.
