Decent chap as well is Bradley Scott. Had a good chat with a few of us at the deep point boundary at Pukekura Park the other day.**** yeah that was an absolute god of a cricket match, at 75/8 i was feeling pretty ****ed off with canterbury mainly because of Harris' bias commentary but Scott got me jumping all round the house man i wana jump all over him tbh... hahaha canterbury
Even though it was a dirty full toss that he hit for six, the man his nerves of steel to keep his form together and smoke that ball out of the park. What a hero.Decent chap as well is Bradley Scott. Had a good chat with a few of us at the deep point boundary at Pukekura Park the other day.
Nice. IIRC that's not the first game he's won with the bat. When he was at the crease I couldn't help thinking that i'd seen him close off a match with the bat beforeDecent chap as well is Bradley Scott. Had a good chat with a few of us at the deep point boundary at Pukekura Park the other day.
Maybe he needs to start using that Mongoose batI have been watching the last two innings of Peter McGlashan. He seems to fiddle around with the ball a little bit while he is trying to get his eye in. We all know what he is capable of once he gets going but he seems very susceptible to getting out early on his inning. I guess this applies to most batsman. But I wish he would be a bit more assertive with his shot selection early on. Either that or send someone else into bat if a period of consolidation is called for. I don't think that is his game. Want better things from him.
I was watching it all weekend - but stopped watching to watch the cricket. Who did Waikato beat in the final?Just watched Waikato win the 7s that was about as good, Mikkleson running 80 metres on fulltime to break the draw. Went to school with him a bit he played first five for our rugby team and batted at 3 and kept wicket for our cricket team

Would love for him to play county cricket within the next year or two, I doubt that would happen however. Also how good has Southee been bowling in these 20/20s. I remember posting about 4 months ago that he needed more experience. But he really seems to have grown as a bowler in terms of his thought processes I am really impressed. I still think he would benefit from a year playing county cricket if he could get a gig - but I am impressed.
How quick does Southee look live. The same as all the other seamers I guess. What were your impressions.Southee bowled pap in his first 2 overs at Pukekura Park. Too short, too leg side... His second pair of overs were pretty much perfect. Bowled a much better length.
Yeah AWTAI'd say McGlashan coming in at four/five might be part of the reason he's failed in the HRV cup. Other then the first 20/20 game he's come in when ND have needed to rebuild somewhat and pushing singles and not taking risks are not part of his game.
Would much rather see him come in around the 14th over and go from there tbh.
He bowled a quick bouncer, but unfortunately it sailed about 2 metres over the batsman and keeper and went for 5 wides!! He was copping a fair bit of stick for his first two overs from the crowds and showed some mental toughness to come back hard. Didn't look that much faster than Arnel, and looked slower than Graham Napier to me.How quick does Southee look live. The same as all the other seamers I guess. What were your impressions.
Bradley was the nicest guy in Dunedin senior cricket when I was there. Never failed to have a chat with anyone who said hello to him, and manfully stacked the shelves in the chilled foods section at Centre City New World to help himself through his tertiary studies. Son of a preacherman, incidentally.Decent chap as well is Bradley Scott. Had a good chat with a few of us at the deep point boundary at Pukekura Park the other day.
