Yeah, stoked Foxcroft is doing well after the frustration of being shut out of the country for 2 years. South Africa could really have done with him at the MCG.

When I saw J Gibson in the Otago line up I assumed Jamie Gibson had moved from Wellington. In fact it's Jake Gibson who had moved from ND last season. He placed a very handy innings, hitting Ferguson for two sixes to give Otago a very competitive total when it could have fallen away after Foxcroft departed.

Suprised that bracewell hasn't been a more consistent face in comps like the ipl TBH. Played one game there in 2012 and took 3fer, and his supersmash numbers are elite, 29@150 with the bat and a gun pacer.

Pukekura games are so fun. Except for the part where Tom Bruce snares 1-25, but even his express pace was taken to today.

i expect clarkson to be named in the next t20 squad for NZ, whenever the next set of games are....ideally displacing kane

Clarkson's innings appears to be getting a bit of attention on twitter from Indian fans with some saying he should be in the IPL. Also, Deepu Narayanan at Cricbuzz:

Josh Clarkson is an absolute boundary hitting beast, more so in Central Districts grounds. Few in NZ domestic cricket hit the ball harder and longer. Pukekura Park is a gift that keeps on giving clutch T20 contests.

Finn Allen was a level above yesterday, which was good to see. Nick Kelly and Rachin Ravindra also played really well. McConchie made the bizarre mistake of insisting on bowling pace for quite some time when Wellington used spin to great effect.

Lister and R O'Donnell combine to get Foxcroft out three times in two balls, but none of them count

Jeez Otago would be a ****house side without Dean Foxcroft. Josh Finnie must also be on borrowed time.
