I know it to be true, but without knowing how to access the public record (and not having been admitted to the bar) not certain about how much to divulge.

If he was convicted in a court of law of a crime that resulted in imprisonment, you can tell us what the crime was. All the grimy details should be in the court record and are therefore public information. The only exception is if x years have passed and the record is expunged under the Clean Slate legislation, but that almost certainly won't apply to someone who is serving a prison term.

PS Also not a lawyer, but I do regularly have to deal with the Privacy Act as part of my work.

I would delete that if I were you Steve, while it maybe true can you be certain of name suppression and all that? I can't find any mention of him anywhere regarding this.

Yeah, I totally didn't think it would be that. Name suppression might be a possibility, not to protect him but to protect the victim.

Malan has a lot of love for Kruger, often promoting him atm. A lot of deliveries are going to get big on him at EPOO though. Cleaver's quite good value.

Yeah that won't be happening. They own no OB trucks, they specialised in getting cheap deals on sports that SKY wasn't really keen on/not willing to pay much for and I would imagine SKY have the exclusive rights on any NZ domestic cricket, regardless of whether they can be assed showing it or not.
