Smithy clutching at broadcasting straws imo. I think if two more wickets go soon we'll get some fun from the tail before a comfy Volts win.

More nationwide scorn for Wellington most likely. :p

Lights could be ruled out at windy Hagley Park | Stuff.co.nz

Cooper said his team have analysed 12 years of data about the wind in Christchurch in the first week of November and he claimed there was a 3 per cent chance the game would need to be stopped because of the wind.

"It's more likely to rain."

There was no issue with safety for spectators, players or officials, Cooper said.

There will be safety zones around the temporary lights.

"Absolutely all safety precautions have been taken," he said.

The temporary lights have been brought in from overseas and will be used at Hagley Oval and Dunedin's University Oval to ensure the grounds could host night-time cricket.

I hate to personally dislike individual players, but everything about Andy Ellis makes me depressed. There's just nothing to suggest international selection.

1) Nicol's entire innings was ill advised. Each time a wicket fell he tried to consolidate which pushed the RRR up and up.

2) This will upset BFP but Michael Bracewell's striking of a cricket ball is fundamentally flawed.

Haha, ****erbury. This cricket ground is going to leave them feeling gutted for years.

Canterbury's problem is their two best batsmen are much better at the long form than the shortest stuff.

And Craig McMillan is apparently their batting coach. That's actually their biggest issue.

Duffy is stronger and faster this year. Can't make up my mind whether I like his front arm or not.
