***Official*** New Zealand Domestic Season 2008/09

International Debutant
So NZ A sides for List A/FC respectively? My List A would probably be:

Watling (ND)
Ingram (CD)
Sinclair (CD)
Cumming (OT) (pretty successful at four)
Williamson (ND)
Franklin (WTN)
McGlashan (ND)
Diamanti (CD)
Thompson (CD)
O'Brien (WTN)
Boult (ND)

Wagner not selected because he's inelligible. Same for ICL players (otherwise Wagner, Bond and Tuffey would all have a case for inclusion).

I'll probably revise that team later. Can't remember who is doing good in FC cricket, will have a look.
Agree with that List A team, though i'd have Arnel over Thompson.

My A FC team would be:

Guptill
How
Sinclair
Broom
Williamson
Franklin
Griggs+
Thompson
Patel
Gillespie
Boult

Guptill and How play in a direct batout for the remaining test opening spot.

Anyone have any predictions for tomorrow's semi-final?

Personally, I'm hoping for a Canterbury win, solely because I'd love an opportunity to see Bond playing some real cricket one last time.

List A

BJ Watling (ND)
MHW Papps (Cant)
*CD Cumming (Ot)
MS Sinclair (CD)
KS Williamson (ND)
JEC Franklin (Well)
PD McGlashan (ND) +
SE Bond (Cant)
BJ Arnel (ND)
IG Butler (Ot)
TA Boult (ND)

Tried to keep Blackcaps out but I figured Franklin isn't a regular ODI player and Boult hasn't started yet. Also kept foreigners out otherwise Mascarenhas, Napier and Wagner would have all been in.

Will the semi be on TV?

If Canterbury made a final I might just have to support ND. Won't be able to watch on Saturday but thats what recordings are for.

Williamson better get a chance to bat.

Wagner to Van Wyk. Gotta love the that South African 2nd division cricketing comp known as the state shield.

Shame only Wagner has a realistic chance of playing test cricket.

Mind you, I prefer it that way. NZ was meant to be a little Britain, but not that accurately.

I think there's still a good chance that Van Wyk could play for NZ if McCullum decides to focus more on his batting. Although, on the basis of this season, he'll have some pretty strong competition from McGlashen.

Dunno though where would McCullum bat? The only spot is an opening one and is McCullum good enough to fill it.

Myburgh, Stewart, Harris and Anderson isn't a bad rest of order. Wagner exploiting the greenish (from what I heard yesterday) conditions down there.

Ironically the most technically horrible batsman (Papps) is still in.

There's still the Bond factor too.

EDIT: Papps gone

Awful start to such a crucial match for Canterbury, 3 down and just 14 runs on the board. Disappointed that the semi isn't being telecast, by the way.
