Yeah, I'm his biggest fan, but he's never been good in one day cricket; he hasn't even been particularly good for CD in one day cricket other than in patches. I actually think playing one day cricket hampered his Test career a bit as he was dropped from the Test team more than once based on poor one day form and it probably effected his confidence at times as well.

Yeah, he should never have opened an innings - he could never build up any momentum in an innings batting in ODI's. Though he continues to play well for CD, there are much more attractive options for a middle order role one feels

Was Corey dropped from the WIzards, or injured? If he was left out by decision then that's ridiculous.

I reckon, we don't want to follow India's lead and start picking players who haven't reached the mark at domestic level because it is not beneficial to anyone. It also sends a crap message to other players consistently performing at domestic level - by seemingly disregarding the entire domestic structure. I was happy with how they managed Southee by letting him play a few games for ND(not to mention bagging a few wickets) and resisting the temptation after his amazing under-19 WC, and letting him in a sense earn his place in the national side.

The thing is Anderson, and that other young guy Williamson, have been producing a lot of runs this season. They have been among the top performing players so far this season, and based on domestic stuff, they may well get in. A few 20/20s or the odd one dayer though. Just give them a taste and see how they go. Another year or two before full selection might happen.

Williamson has done a bit, but Anderson apart from one game hasn't done much.

Stags being held back quite tightly by the Volts and Wellington are kicking some Auckland ass.

Only 3 40+ scores so far today.

Robertson 54
Fulton 45*
Kitchen 65

Don't know who Robertson and Kitchen are either.

Anaru Kitchen, does anyone know anything else about this guy? Two 50+ scores to open his season and I can't even find the guys age.

With Kitchen playing FC cricket that could give you a decent shot at the club cricketer of the year couldn't it?

Sort of. I miss one game down at u19 nationals, then possibly another couple of I go down with the 'A's as well. Then there's an internal tour with NZ u19s, so if I make that then I would miss another 2 or 3 games.

Shane Singe doesn't have anything like that, as he made himself unavailable for 'A's this year. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't win it this year.
