***Official*** New Zealand Domestic Season 2008/09

Somerset

Cricketer Of The Year
McIntosh 140 out of 398

Cumming 85 out of 277

Bell 146 out of 428

Ingram 247 from 479/ Watling 111 from 249

Cummings knock was in the hardest conditions of the lot but the rest had half decent attacks in non ideal conditions.
Given the problems we were having with openers about two weeks ago, after Redmond's first innings knock in Adelaide, and the promising starts to the domestic season from a handful of openers, the situation's definitely looking a bit healthier. The key will be for the likes of Bell, Cumming, McIntosh, etc to back it up, ditto for Redmond over the next few tests; Bell's made a good start to achieving that consistency.

Not Terrible

Yeah I'm not as worried as I once was and with Guptill to come in the next few years our opening problems may be coming to an end.

A question for all Kiwi's.

Which domestic team do you support?

I'd probably go

Wellington

Otago

CD

Cant

ND/Auckland

Somerset

Cricketer Of The Year
We see so little domestic cricket on TV that I don't really feel affiliated to any domestic side TBH, even Auckland. Instead I'd prefer to see solid performances from our leading and up and coming players, rather than back one domestic side and hope its more successful than the others.

I'd probably rate them in this order, but I don't really support the first with any real passion, nor hate the team in sixth:
Auckland
Central Districts
Northern Districts
Canterbury
Otago
Wellington

I do support Wellington and Otago a fair amount but otherwise I don't really care that much about any team. Except for how dire ND is and that Auckland is Auckland.

the radio sport guy just said that today was the worst day in New Zealand cricket history, I thought it was a bit of a overreaction.

Who was "the Radio Sport guy"? It was a poor display today and theres no getting around that, but its hardly the worst day in NZ cricket history.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Otago first and foremost, then the other teams are all about equal. Don't really dislike them either, usually hope a few certain players in each team do well.
