Stags should win against Northern today. Otago have an outside chance against Canterbury (who themselves have an outside chance at a win if they push for it). Well vs. Auck is a draw.

Give it to Fults IMO.
I don't like Fulton being so low in the order...reckon he should be in the top four if he plays, but the top 4 is pretty much sorted. Perhaps How, with his inability to turn the strike over regularly could miss out with Fulton slotting in at 3 and Broom getting a crack at 5.

I still think in the long term How should open.

How
McCullum
Fulton/Taylor
Fulton/Taylor
Ryder

I think that is a pretty good looking lineup.

what do you guys make of John Wright as selector? will there be any paradigm shifts to speak of in terms of selection policies?

BJ gets his ton!!! Go BJ!

McIntosh absolutely carving up...well, when he gets in he definitely goes big. A shame he doesnt get in very often.

I think it's a great move. He's a great guy and really got along well with all the players in u19s. I think he'll be great for NZC.

I wonder what Ken Rutherford would do if his son was chosen as a 19 year old to play against the West Indies.

How did Paul Hitchcock magically find himself in the Auckland batting lineup? Ah...have they made some allowance where Hitchcock has been allowed to bat in the place of Hopkins due to him flying to Aussie today?

Indeed. Some guy's replaced Patel as well.

Stags too good for Northern.

Otago Canterbury is coming down to the wire with the Wizards needing 74 from 4 wickets. Could go either way.

Aces and Firebirds won't even make it to the third innings.

Haig and Cumming with good starts but the real story is that of Bell, Ingram and McIntosh. Surprised at how many openers have had a decent start to the season.

Pinga for the Black Caps. :p

Very happy with a convincing CD win. Interesting that we seem to produce so many good batsmen and Napier is often a quick paced road. Perhaps more are needed around?

What the hell is Andrew Ellis doing batting at three for Canterbury? Credit to him for his 50+, but he's batting ahead of Myburgh, Stewart, Robertson, Anderson and Van wyk and I'm sure last I knew he was a bits and pieces bowling allrounder. It seems to be working but...wierd.

So, too early for team ofthe round? Think I could lock some positions in now

1. Peter Ingram
2. Tim McIntosh
3. Mathew Sinclair
4. Neil Broom
5. Kane Williamson
6. James Franklin
7. Bradley Watling +
8. Ewen Thompson
9. Bruce Martin
10. Neil Wagner
11.

Right, one last bowling spot to fill. Wagner and Williamson added. Watling gets the gloves and bats at seven

Wagner would have to be one of the pacemen. He's had a stunning start to the season.
