HahaHe should be used to it after coaching Bangladesh.
His season is pretty interesting reading so far:Good to see Murdoch possibly playing his way out of that slump.
A couple months. When does Neil Wagner qualify to play for New Zealand?
Not until after the SA series. When does Neil Wagner qualify to play for New Zealand?
DoneJames - I want to take a punt on Corey Anderson in the HRV Cup comp. Can you include him......assuming he plays of course!
Hopefully he doesn't qualify and then naff off like Johann Myburgh - who I saw has now been released by Hampshire. Guess he probably should have stayed here, eh?Not until after the SA series.
I want to know how the scorers tell them apart.
Good stuff Athlai. That is a pretty decent record. Given that we are always short of top order batsmen it's good when any of them who haven't already tried and failed perform well. His season is pretty interesting reading so far:
103, 57, 8, 0, 0, 0, 39*
His career:
19, 79 vs. Arnel, Aldridge, Scott
10, 59 vs. Bennett, McCone, Hiini, Astle
22, 88 vs. Wagner, Harvie, Fuller, Beard, NcCullum
33, 0 vs. Martin, Adams, Bates
86, 104* vs. Aldridge, Boult, Arnel
23, 50 vs. McCone, Lonsdale, George, Ellis, Astle
63,19 vs. Martin, Bates, Shaw, BMartin
141 vs. Mason, Wheeler, KNB, Nethula
6, 7 vs. Butler, Mcskimming, Craig, Beard, Wagner
103 vs. Milne, Smidt, Nethula, KNB, Cachopa
57, 8 vs. Southee, Boult, Aldridge, Arnel, Vettori
0,0 vs. Mills, Bates, Adams, Martin, Bhupinder
0, 41* vs. Finn, Wagner, McMillan, Butler, NcCullum
Some good runs against decent attacks there and surprisingly few total failures.
His Mrs got a good job in England and he chose to play there to support that.Hopefully he doesn't qualify and then naff off like Johann Myburgh - who I saw has now been released by Hampshire. Guess he probably should have stayed here, eh?
Yeah we don't really have as many glaring holes as usual. We have a pretty settled top 5, Brownlie, Flynn, Broom and Franklin are all competing for the #6 position. While the pace bowling ranks have thinned to a few "boulters"Good stuff Athlai. That is a pretty decent record. Given that we are always short of top order batsmen it's good when any of them who haven't already tried and failed perform well.
Actually I've noticed a lack of 'fast bowler watch' or 'opening batsman watch' like you've done other years - is that because we are just so awesome now that there are no glaring weakness in the NZ team? Yes imo
James - Anderson plays for ND not Can't. I'm only going to pick him for that reasonDone

Yes this is true. I think the less-glaring-than-usual weaknesses we have are:Yeah we don't really have as many glaring holes as usual. The only position possibly up in the air is the keeper, and the pool is pretty narrow for that one. If Young fails one of van Wyk or de Boorder will likely step up.
Murdoch has probably done enough to be in contention with Watling and Nicol as a A Team top order batsman.
