Agreed, really dis-spiriting, can't say I want either team to win ATM, the Dutch have been thugs, and the Spanish refuse to commit players forward, they're so ****ing scared of winning/losing.

Spanish jamfest continues for another half an hour then.

The ironic thing about Spain is they way they're playing is they just give themselves as little chance of scoring as possible, they make the game more of a lottery (which they've managed to match the 5 balls drawn so far) because one mistake and it's likely curtains. But they're still vulnerable at the back despite all this negativity. Dutch look like they can score as soon as they string a bit of quality together on the counter.

Worst World Cup final ever by 100 miles. Nil-nilers can often be called "one for the purists", but I think you can say this doesn't qualify.

Oh and the worst World Cup, in my memory, the final swings it IMHO.

Not so outrageous, tbh. Probably rate this above 90 & 94, but been the worst for some time. Been some great games, 2nd round and quarters especially, but overall standard hasn't been that high IMHO.
