Lol Yuvi dropped. Thanks Sammy.

The best thing for India here is a big Yuvraj score heading into the quarters against Australia. Hopefully that's the luck he needs, because when he's playing well the Indian batting lineup goes from good to bloody good.

Haha yeah Kartik was caught behind and not given, and then he and Zaheer went on to win the match.

That calypso tune only sounds right when David Rudder sings it....
Seriously though, I hope the Windies rest key players for this match, because playing a half-fit Gayle or a recovering Roach against India is not going to win the match, and that duo need to be fully fit for the quarterfinals, whoever we end up playing. This would be my XI, as a result:

1) Shiv Chanderpaul
2) Devon Smith
3) Darren Bravo
4) Ramnaresh Sarwan
5) Kieron Pollard
6) Kirk Edwards
7) Darren Sammy
8) Andre Russell
9) Devon Thomas
10) Suleimann Benn
11) Dev Bishoo
Well, I nearly got it right....
:)
I still think Shiv should've played though, because this could be his last chance to play himself into form.

WTF Tendulkar walked? Thought he was a subscriber to the "stay till the finger go up" philosophy.

How times change!
It's easy to walk in a match like this....

I don't think he would've done it if it was a quarterfinal.
Still, it's good to see....

Gayle and Roach rested. WI obviously want to win this game

India better not lose a match where the opposition doesn't want to win.
To be fair, India are 'resting' Sehwag and Chawla too, and given chances to Raina and Ashwin, so I don't see much difference between that approach, and what the Windies have done....

That's not really the issue....

The issue is that players like Sehwag (knee?), Gayle (abdominal) and Roach (fever) were not fully fit, and should be rested for a more important game, i.e. quarterfinal. What if they played and ended up being hurt/ill to an extent that they missed the knockout match? Imagine the repercussions then....

Could Shiv miss the quarterfinal? That seems to be the indication, doesn't it? I'm not comfortable with that, because the middle order looks brittle.
