***Official***Match # 42- Afghanistan vs South Africa - November 10th - Ahmedabad (D/N)

MW1304

Cricketer Of The Year
Like against Pakistan they crossed the line but we all know how they almost lost a game that was in their hands and barely made it.
Well yeah, they needed a comfortable chase where one of their key bats goes big. VdD the last hope for this really.

Maxwell has done the cricket world a disservice. Afghanistan could have beaten any team after running through Australia as well as South Africa in back to back games.
100%
More than Maxwell Afghanistan did it to themselves.
Innings full of luck, tons of chances given and when he couldn't even stand on his feet most teams would've made his life a living hell, Afghanistan give freebies in the arc where no feet movement was required..

Well Afg dropped an absolute sitter from Maxwell early. So it's their fielding that lost them that game.

To be honest I feel the problem with the South African batting line up is that they aren't selfish enough ..
Being selfish isn't always a bad thing.
A lot of these current Proteas batsmen have a tendency to try to dominate the opposition no matter what, When things are quiet they feel they have to play a big shot to show that they are in control..This is exactly what a team defending a score wants , and every wicket that falls they grow in confidence..SA batsmen need to realise that it's okay to take a game deep.

This smells of a Kallis apologia.

Van Der Dussen is the key here for SA , someone that actually isn't a bag of nerves
.. That's the thing though, what's there to be really nervous about?

Their semi-final spot is secured & they'll be playing Australia.Nothing can change that.

Apart from bragging rights for Afghanistan they'll remain in the tournament one way or another.
