***Official***Match #39- Australia vs Afghanistan - November 7th - Wankhede, Mumbai (D/N)

Ibrahim seems to be playing for his ton like Kohli, problem is, no one has gone Rohit like at the top and got ahead of the run rate. Becoming pretty painful to watch.

Quite an old-fashooned ODI match so far. Afghanistan happy to go at 4-5 runs an over and Australia seemingly relatively fine with that.
Yeah I think the Ghan have actually played it pretty smart given what others have said about their middle/ lower order. They could have gone a lot harder but the risk would be getting bowled out for something like what they have now.

Doesn't seem to be a whole lot in the pitch though and I'm not convinced Aus have even bowled that well (off days for Zampa and Starc particularly).

I don’t think Stoinis should be in this side at full strength but with Smith out it’s ridiculous the amount of serviceable bowling options Aus has. Having to get ten out of Maxwell/ Head/ Stoinis (or Green) and Marsh gives Cummins a lot of flexibility

afgh are a good team but i wouldn't be too harsh on ibrahim here for ostensibly playing for his hundred. don't think that's the case - all too often midtier teams against elite teams get into decent to good positions only to collapse in a heap when a whoosh of pressure comes. don't blame the bloke for taking the reticent route and trying to avoid what they did against nz

Trying to think, most of the Oz wins have come batting first haven't they? Possibly forgetting one
Sri Lanka. Won by 5 wickets chasing 210 was not very convincing

Smith is a pretty big loss here. Marnus would be the key as I don't trust the rest against good spin
