check for a no ball would be mandatory, but if invoked by a batsman then can only think he counted a fielding restriction breach (if they'd even check for that, and would be whisper to the umpire) be too late to claim distraction from behind the bowler's arm (he'd have to stop the bowler well before the ball got anywhere near his stumps)
