And this result means that if Bangladesh win and India-WI is rained out, England are through...innit.Bangladesh go through it they beat SA regardless of what happens in the other game.

Why? Prior, Bopara (despite his wickets today), Collingwood are all performing worse..Can someone injure Ian Bell please?
So about 5 x mywildestdreams then.If West Indies bat first, they need to win by 161 (ish) runs for India's NRR to drop below England.
If India bat first, then West Indies need to chase down the total by the end of the 21st over.
Thats who il'd go for , 3 man spin attack all the way.Rashid, another spinner will be useful.
But as mentioned above, West Indies was still a wicket away from number 11, all abilities considered.Haha, that's six out of six thrillers in a row for England. It was a game West Indies really shouldn't have lost. They need twenty-two runs or thereabouts with four wickets in hand
Because Bell has been an ever present in this side, despite putting in absolutely no performances to justify it.Why? Prior, Bopara (despite his wickets today), Collingwood are all performing worse..
Still a class middle-order batsman who will probably come good at some stage (like he did against India). Good against pace as well as spin, and a very good fielder. What side would you pick?Because Bell has been an ever present in this side, despite putting in absolutely no performances to justify it.
That's true. But as mentioned above, West Indies was still a wicket away from number 11, all abilities considered.
Nope, in that case WI and England would be tied on 7 points, both with 3 wins but WI would have a higher NRR meaning they go through and England go out....I thinkAnd this result means that if Bangladesh win and India-WI is rained out, England are through...innit.

I thought it was head-to-head first. Not sure why.Nope, in that case WI and England would be tied on 7 points, both with 3 wins but WI would have a higher NRR meaning they go through and England go out....I think
Ridley Jacobs biffed his way to 4000odd runs and legendary status with no technique.Couldn't believe Sammy biffed his way to 40-odd runs despite seemingly having no trace of a technique.
Benn has a first class high score of 79, Roach 52* and Bishoo 39. OK Bradman they ain't but surely they could have mustered up 20 odd runs between them. But it shouldn't have got down to them, Sarwan and Russel should have finished it from the position they got to IMHOBut as mentioned above, West Indies was still a wicket away from number 11, all abilities considered.
Courtney Walsh had 8 first-class fifties. What's your point?Benn has a first class high score of 79, Roach 52* and Bishoo 39. No, I'm talking right now..Assuming fitness:
Strauss
Davies
Trott
Pietersen
Morgan
Bopara
Bresnan
Swann
Broad
Tredwell*
Anderson
*not 100% sold on Tredwell, but he's the man in possession and there's not really any good OD bowlers in England who can feel hard done by.
Yeah, probably a bit harsh on Bell, but he'd been dropped from the ODI side for ages, had a good return against Bangladesh and an excellent domestic OD season, missed the Pakistan series through injury and has since done nothing of any real note. He's certainly lucky that we've had so many injury woes, as IMO he's not in the side on merit.
