Ooooh, South Africa doing that thing they do.
Must be a tad frustrating too though...eight years until they get to play anyone decent again in anything more than Twenty20.Ireland are so consistently competitive. Must be an awesome time to be an Irish cricket fan.
And we're nowhere near as good at T20.Must be a tad frustrating too though...eight years until they get to play anyone decent again in anything more than Twenty20.
Haha, genius.Ooooh, South Africa doing that thing they do.
Mmmm. He does make more silly minor mistakes than someone like Ponting or Strauss. Stuff like putting the wrong men on the fence during the batting powerplay. There's no getting away from the fact that he's much less experienced than those guys.Haha, genius.
Gotta say, rate Porterfield as a captain extremely highly. Would take him - tactically speaking - over all the other captains in the WC. Backs his bowlers to the hilt, despite them not being the best, and it's no surprise he gets good results.
Steyn is gonna hit a 50 odd and take a bagfull.Duminy now please, still holding out hope of van Wyk top-scoring.
But put him with an experienced team man, like a Ponting or Strauss, then I think add a huge amount to a side.Mmmm. He does make more silly minor mistakes than someone like Ponting or Strauss. But yeah, it's not just Porterfield, it's the entire ethos of the team. It's all about pressure- energy in the field, variety in attack, making sure the batsmen have to worry about losing their wicket at every stage. I definitely think we have a tactical edge with the ball in ODIs.
