Is it safe to say that India hasn't won any of their matches convincingly yet?? Infact, we have performed pretty poorly against Minnows as well. Other teams have mauled the minnows except England LOL

England and India are competing against each other for overall dissapointing performances.

Fair point mate, lets be fair the only way we were going to lose wickets in this game was by going for shots, but if it ever got close we always could just milk the bowling because we playing Holland and they do not have the bowlers capable of taking 10 Indian poles no matter how many wickets we throw away.

I totally support the way we batted 20/20 approach ultimately though it cant be easy for our boys! they knew even before they left the ground this morning that they juat have to rock up at the ground and take the field to essentially secure 2 points! where is the motivation in that?

Credit to the backroom staff and coach etc for making sure we were prompt, sounds simple, but these 2 points are going to be what takes us into the last 8 of the tournament.

And how about the game of cricket? Don't you want cricket to be popular in many of these associate countries? How do you expect it to happen if the associates are not allowed to be playing at the world stage? How are they gonna improve?

welcome to the world of sport, sometimes you play opponents who do not have the natural talent you do, but make up with wanting to be there and giving 200%

There is no good reason to kick out associates, the only good reason is money...and if it comes to money making the decisions you know your sport is ill.

You know how much money Zimbabwe gets from the ICC? 10 milion...you know how much The Netherlands get? not even a million.
Now ask yourself what is the ICC doing to spread the game?
1 thing: pumping millions into a country which is just as big as India but has no history with cricket.
Cricket is being played in Holland for over 125 years.

I understand your point but why are Holland including players born in Australia, Pakistan and South Africa? They can't have achieved that much then cricket wise in over a century of playing.

Associates should not be playing this world cup as they turn the competition into a farce and Zimbabwe should not be given money. Why should money be pumped into a cricket team run effectively by Mugabe's regime?

Sorry for the rushed posts. I am a 4th year medical student and have to rush back to the ward from the library at times.

They can improve but need to play amongst themselves and improve their grass roots structure. Sick of seeing teams like Scotland and America turn up now and then to the world cup. Without a good base structure there is no point. All these countries have non existant structures in their nation.
