thought it would happen yesterday, really didn't believe Afghans could chase 270 odd down vs Pakistan, but surely South Africa electing to bat will end with first team to elect to bat and win this competition....

(laugh if that jinxes them, high 200s attainable for teams like Afghanistan, high 300s surely not even for the deshis)

I would normally say that of Pakistan, able to beat anyone and lose to anyone with equal prowess


I do wonder if the pitches and conditions aren't in the captains' heads, India just get on with it whilst everyone else is panicked into thinking it's better to bat, or it's better to bowl rather than just stick to basics

never agreed with Test status for Bangladesh back when, or more recently Ireland, and for me Bangladesh are the worst team there bar maybe Holland. They may have beaten Afghanistan and may beat Holland, but have far more (worthwhile) experience

back them to lose the semi, four semis, no finals, the Jimmy White of ODI World Cups although that is tongue in cheek, used to be England with 3 finals in the first 5 World Cups and no wins which was White's forte

Funny thing about this is that we are not even trying to win here. Already given up after the bowling shitshow. Last WC when WI got 320 odd runs and we came out blazing trying to win the game atleast. This is horror show and unacceptable from a team playing in WC.
