True, at the toss Hashmat said something about doing what the opposition would be less comfortable with. If that was the thinking, NZ would have been *much* more bothered about chasing a reasonable total against their attack. Different venue of course, but odd that they decided to deviate from what worked against England.

Yeah I thought that was a mistake choosing to bowl first but their bowling wasn't the problem, it was their fielding and batting that was the problem.
Their batting probably would have been better setting a total during the day than chasing a total under lights though.
