Right, well, with 13 overs remaining and seven in hand, might be time to start thinking about upping the tempo.

Certainly is. Of course they've got a batting powerplay to take yet aswell, unlikely to do so with these two at the crease, so if they're looking at taking that around 41-42 overs, it's worth these two stepping up the rate now, if one gets out it allows a few overs to settle in for the new hitter before the powerplay is taken.

I think the way Misbah, especially, has played of late has proved that the middle over nurdler/worker still has a huge but often forgotten role to play in putting up a good total.

Yes absolutely agree. In the era of T20 cricket and smashing the ball out of the park every other ball, this partnership is indicative of the importance of the role you talk about.

Misbah has not looked to do anything extravagant, just worked it round with intelligence, run hard and judged the runs well, and held the innings together. Really set it up for the power players to come in the last 10 overs. Of course Misbah is capable of accelerating also, which may take his S/R up to around 100.

And out. Well played Younis, good sensible knock. Even the timing of his dismissal was almost perfect.

Younis' effort comes to an end with a top edged sweep shot off Herath. No problems with him trying that, albeit against the spin, in an attempt to up the rate. Very well played Younis, now we may some fireworks, Umar Akmal next man in,

People forgetting that Pakistan still have their biggest weapon in the sheds - Akhtar. He averages 76 in World Cups.

Think they're delaying this powerplay too much. Making it easy for Sangakkara, as he'll just save Murali for the last five overs and the powerplay, Afridi should just force his hand so they have a lesser bowler bowling at the end.

They're going to have to make up for these quite couple of overs in the powerplay now, four runs, then five runs, now a boundary off the last ball, much needed, makes it 15 off the last three. Need more urgency.
