Guys,
Im open to suggestions tactics-wise. We are doing ok but Im not convinced we are reaching our potential and Im still not sure what the best tactic is for our collection of players.

Feel free to comment (Swell players only :) )

Was gonna suggest that you play without a 'keeper until you mentioned this :p

Oh dear.....

Can our reserve keeper hold?

You defenders better make sure nothing gets past! I'm sure Pickup has something to say on that!

I thought Goughy was selected too?

Was nice to get a run at DM in the last game. I thought I was pretty effective there and got in the play a lot, compared to previous outings in defence. Lots of competition for that position in our side though, so presumably one can't hope to play there every match, unless we're only going to play two defenders. :p

Yeah, Id like to get you in midfield later in the season. Im hoping our next allocated sign-up is a defender and then get you moved permenantly into midfield.

Funnily, Mbasa is a pretty ordinary player but has been in (IIRC) 3 teams of the weak. We seem to have good depth. Just missing that 1 more defender to make us class.

Decent result today. Fought hard after being down to 10 men for most of the game.

Need to build on this and get ready for the Power next game.

Note: Data info looks different now as we had to remove columns so we could use the Training Facility.. The Training Facility when run will allow players to improve their skills when not on the pitch...

Team to face the Power

After the first full round of matches myself and Hakon (Swell VC) got together and went into depth on our squad strengths and weaknesses and our opponents.

We think we are looking strong for the game against the Power, even with our star defender suspended.

Team for Round 6 versus the Power positions left off for confidentiality (sp?)

GK Aflredo
DF Fran_Michalek
MF Collins_Mbasa
MF Denis_Stenild
FW Flavio

Collins Mbasa was unlucky to be left out as he has been in fine for this season. However, so has Celestino and the management team went with him.

Pretty sure we are the Swell. :p

It's been a successful round of matches, I think. We've had a few problems with discipline and suspensions, like most teams, but our results have been pretty good and with another defender in the team I think we'd have one of the strongest all-round lineups out there.

Bad result guys. I cant see how that result is possible given the one-sided nature of tests that were done with these respective teams and formations. Especially given we had a tactical bonus because they used the long ball tactic.

We must have just put up a terrible performance, with myself being the most to blame and also, respectfully, give credit to the Power for playing well.

Need to pick ourselves up for the next game.

Im looking forward to this game against the Dynamo.

They are a good team and the pressure is off. A good result would be brilliant and could really kick start our season. However, its not the end of the world if the result doesnt go our way (unlike the previous round).

It would be a great performance if you boys could give the Dynamo their first loss of the season.

It should be a good and enjoyable game no matter what.
