I do wonder where saying dayboo instead of debut came from. Someone Colesy-ing?
I'm assuming you're referring to spelling it out as it's pronounced in Australia, rather than the pronunciation itself (seen a comment calling someone writing a 'poultry' for 'paltry' as a 'Colesy'). In any case a search seems to show the oldest instance is here.

The pronunciation is actually a closer approximation of the French début than the 'correct' Anglo-English one. The real question should where did the /j/ in 'debbyew' come from?

When was the last time an SA bat made a 100 in SL/IND/BANG conditions actually? If I was SA management ide be pissed that a talent as good as campher was sniped from under their nose, especially given his desperate they are for an all-rounder.

If the pitch doesn't deteriorate, Ireland are in for a leather hunt. If SL bats get in like they did in 1st test, expect a 700 where they don't have to bat again. However, if SL score that much, it means pitch would have stayed flat and this will be a dull draw.

Too easy for SL so far. Draw probably favourite unless Ireland have a 2nd innings batting collapse.
