Smaller sample for david, but realistically noene is close. He's got a SR 15-20 higher than anyone on the list aside from russell, and averages 12 more than him.

why are all comms acting like Brevis was hard done by the early impact sub? they named 5 bowlers at the start, did they really think they were going to go with Coetzee at 7???

the plan clearly was for Brevis to be subbed on for a dismissed batsman if they had lost a wicket or two in the 1st half of the innings and if it was in the later stage for Shepherd to be subbed on, that must have also been communicated to both. comms saying that Brevis would have walked in cold like he was asleep at the hotel room and then forcibly kidnapped, padded out and chucked onto the playing field is illogical

Yeah it's odd, lol. They mentioned it after the 3rd wicket way earlier in the innings and I was really confused.

Just doesn't make sense to sub in for a batsman. Might as well start with your 7 batters and sub one out for a bowler in the second innings.

its insights like this that makes me question how good these dudes actually are as analysts or in the common sense dept, wouldnt be surprising if most teams hired the good ones and we’re stuck with these shitheads on tv

I dunno how the choice between Shepherd and Brevis is appealing either though? You want proper batsmen in your top 6.

Brevis is a proper bat? He's not a pinch hitter or a slogger. The choice is more do you want brevis in early after wickets or the extra death hitting and bowling romario gives you.
