But pretty much every toss sees teams opting to field first. It's effectively 12 a side now, that's not really what 'impact subs' should be. I wonder if it will last more than a year?

It shouldn't.

And those stats are skewed by the afternoon games. Teams cant really back up after fielding for 2 hours in the Indian summer sun.

RCB being near the bottom of the table despite Maxwell, Faf and Kohli all having good or better seasons feels so.. wrong for some reason.

Why has Maxwell gone under the radar so much since he moved to RCB? Since moving in 2021 He's made 990 runs @35 and a SR of 160 batting mostly at 4, is a gun fielder and acts as a handy 6th bowler/Matchup spinner for left hand dominated batting lineups.

Dont think he has gone under the radar tbh. He seems to have definitely been trying harder under the new management and also seems like Virat gave him more responsibility.

people were willing to buy him even after multiple failures in the ipl before and rcb chose to retain him, i dont think he is under any radar. their fans love him too, just the shadow of AB looms large

They never had a second opener in form at the same time as Kohli and AB bar 2016 and they made the finals that year, right?
