I rate green really highly but don't really like Mumbai spending the money they did on him. Feels like they just plopped him at 3 today and told him to wack it and threw him the ball in the 8th over and asked him to bounce ***** with no real thinking behind it.

Is Faf the most underrated IPL player going around atm. Swear even his worst seasons having him making a few big scores and averaging 30@130.

CSK always valued him. It was just the mega auction and RCB"s insistence to get a new captain that saw him parting ways.

Difference between the sides was the PP today and I don't even think Mumbai batted that poorly to end up 30/3 by the end. Green and Kishan both looked in great touch and played some wonderful shots but got out trying to keep the scoring rate up. Rohit was really stratchy but think RCB just bowled good areas upfront and forced the wickets through frustration. The green wicket ball was decent from Tooley early up, full and swinging back in from the left armer, but if green blocks that instead of trying to hit it into next year he's probably fine.

Edit: Also, have to credit RCB's fielding in that PP. They dropped Rohit on 1 but outside of that was spectacular. Easily saved 10 runs just by cutting off boundaries in the ring or keeping them to 1's off well timed shots to the boundary.

Yeah, nothing to do with his 1 from 10 deliveries and the fact they were 20-3 after 5.2 overs.

Opening round of fixtures - RR look strong and I like the balance of the LSG. Think it could be another long season for CSK and SRH.

Other than Warner's somewhat laboured 50, not the best opening round of matches for the Aussie contingent. Got a feeling Mayers could be an excellent selection for LSG.

- CSK have a win percentage of 79.17 at Chepauk

Mark Wood has taken 24 wickets in 32 overs in T20s since 2022

Do you know Moeen has leaked at just 6.79 an over to left-hand batters.

Using the word leak in that context is really off-putting FYI. Has the opposite connotation.

England generally only use him to bowl in T20's when there's a left hander on strike. CSK seem like a bunch of injury prone veterans, must have the busiest physio in the tournament. If Stokes can't bowl, I'm really not sure I'd play him as a specialist batsman in T20 these days.
