But more seriously, I think they will get them to quarantine in England for enough days and fly them in a chartered flight etc. Ensuring there is no risk and planning for as much time as it may take, coz now that the IPL is called off, time may not be an issue.

That's why I said "if". It's unlikely, but quarantine has had failures in the past. And not a thought spared for the quarantine workers putting themselves at risk because these guys wanted to go and play a game for an absurd amount of money.

Their contracts were inked before the scale of devastation became global news. And even if they were within their rights to leave when they wanted, they still are professional sportsmen who have to care about things like securing their future and making an impression on their franchise owners. It's a human thing. I'd think most countries would or ought to pull out all stops to safely reintegrate citizens currently abroad on purposes of work, regardless of how much $$ they're making.
